For your addiction recovery program to be effective, it must address your needs. This is where we'll do that.



Before we start building your plan (yes, we will be doing this together), let's go through the checklist below to ensure that the preliminaries have been taken care of.

1 - Have you studied the Cycle of Addiction? Info icon Good. If not, it is imperative that you do so. This is the first tool we will be using to build your Personal Addiction Recovery Program. Click the link above to go there now. (Even if you're already familiar with this tool, it's a good idea to review this section anyway. You might find that the information is presented in an unfamiliar or novel fashion.)

2 - Have you studied Identify Your Triggers & Plot Your Cycle? Info icon
If not, go there now and follow the step-by-step instructions in that section. The results will help you target which strategies to use in your addiction recovery program.

3 - Have you studied the other tools in What is Addiction? Info icon
These topics may spark inspiration for your program. And again, you never know, you might learn something entirely unexpected about yourself as you study them.

4 - Have you studied the various approaches in Recovery Methods? Info icon Get a basic understanding of these different approaches. It will give you valuable insight into how and why the strategies you are about to implement in your personal program can help you.

5 - Have you studied the strategies in Strategies?  Info icon This step is essential. For your program to be effective, it must address your specific needs. This is where you will identify them.

6 - Review the forms below before filling them out. As your Personal Addiction Recovery Program is being built and implemented in an online therapy context, forms are a necessary thing (I won't say "necessary evil" because your perception of their nature depends entirely upon the nature of your perception. The Monthly Plan form will enable you to plan successive phases of your Personal Addiction Recovery Program. Each phase will reflect your goals, your weaknesses and your strengths.

Here, we're going to go through each step you planned out at the beginning of the month. This will enable you to understand not only the realism of your goals, but also what you've accomplished by striving to reach them.




Please note that although this section (and the whole site really) is still in development, the forms in this section are fully functional. You may use them to get a head-start on your addiction recovery program and implement the strategies as they become available. Even if you don't use the strategies proposed on this site, these forms can be very valuable as you create a guide for yourself and do your own research.
