Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT)
Info icon Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) is both a psychotherapeutic technique and school of thought established by Albert Ellis. REBT is a practical, action-oriented approach to coping with problems and enhancing personal growth. ...read more

Multimodal Therapy
Info icon Developed by Arnold Lazarus, Multimodal Therapy is based on the idea that humans are biological beings that think, feel, act, sense, imagine, and interact; and that each of these "modalities" should be addressed in psychological treatment. Assessment and treatment is built around seven interactive and reciprocally influential dimensions (Behavior, Affect, Sensation, Imagery, Cognition, Interpersonal relationships, and Drugs/biology) represented by the acronym BASIC I.D....read more

Holistic Therapy (Coming Soon!)
Info icon According to the World Health Organization, "Health is more than the absence of disease. Health is a state of optimal well-being." Optimal well-being is a concept of health that goes beyond the curing of illness to one of achieving wellness. Achieving wellness requires balancing the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of the whole person. This broader, (w)Holistic approach to health involves the integration of all of these aspects and is an ongoing process.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) (Coming Soon!)
Info icon Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is an interpersonal communication model and a controversial approach to psychotherapy. It is based on the subjective study of language, communication and personal change. In general, NLP aims to increase behavioral and emotional flexibility and integration by instruction in using language, imagination, and the body in novel ways either by a practitioner/trainer, or by self-application.

Harm Reduction (Coming Soon!)
Info icon Pioneered by Stanton Peele, the central idea of Harm Reduction is the recognition that some people always have and always will engage in behaviors which carry risks, such as casual sex, prostitution, and substance use. The main objective of this approach is to reduce the potential dangers and health risks associated with the risky behaviors themselves.

Schema Therapy
Info icon A psychotherapeutic approach developed by Jeffrey Young, Schema Therapy is based on the premise that certain schemas develop in childhood and become influential in adulthood. Because they begin early in life, schemas become familiar and thus comfortable. We distort our view of the events in our lives in order to maintain the validity of our schemas. Schemas may remain dormant until they are activated by situations relevant to that particular schema. ...read more

Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET) (Coming Soon!)
Info icon Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET) seeks to evoke a person's own motivation for change and to consolidate a personal decision and plan for change. As applied to drug abuse and addiction help, MET seeks to alter the harmful use of drugs. The working assumption is that intrinsic motivation is a necessary and often sufficient factor in instigating change.
